If you like outdoor sports or extreme sports Peloponnese is an ideal place for you. As it is situated in the southest part of Greece,  the weather is sunny almost 300 days per year and the temperature in winter during the day ranges from 15 to 20 degrees Celcium.

Windsurfing and Kitesurfing

  • Mavrovouni beach in Gythion

In Mavrovouni beach you can find a windsurf school or a kite surfing teacher (you can ask at the camping Gythion Bay for more infromation). You can also rent equipment if you don't want to carry it with you.

  • Neo Oitylo beach

The waves in this area are ideal for learning. The beach is totally virgin. There are no umbrellas or renting facilities.

Rock Climbing

  • The biggest park in Greece for rock climbing is in Leonidio with more than 300 slopes. Climbing festivals are organised all year round.

  • A small but interesting climbing park is situated on Mt. Taygetos, near the byzantine castle of Mystras. The Lagada climbing park is consisted of 96 slopes with difficulty level 5a+ - 8b.

  • Limeni climbing park is a really small park but it offers you a great view and an amazing feeling of freedom.

Hiking and Biking

In Peloponnese there are many hiking and biking routes for all tastes. The numerous mountains are available to the lovers of nature for exploration through mountain bike or hiking. Some of the most interesting mountains are Mt. Taygetos and Mt. Parnonas.
